SUBSCRIBER NOTE: WASA content in CIF NWE ULSD MOC trades

Platts wishes to clarify its existing methodology in relation to Wax Anti-Settling Additive (WASA) in its CIF Northwest Europe ULSD cargo assessment process.

Platts reflects French specification diesel fuel in the assessment. Bids, offers and transactions for other 10 ppm grades, including German winter and German winter joint storage specifications, are considered in the assessment process and normalized to the base assessment.

For trades reported through the Platts Market on Close process for the assessment, bids and offers for German winter and German winter joint storage are deemed to reflect material without the addition of WASA, unless otherwise stated.

Buyers should clearly state any requirement for WASA in bids for publication. Such bids are normalized accordingly.
