SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts to launch 500 CST New York bunker assessments

S&P Global Platts will launch new assessments for 500 CST, 3.5% sulfur bunker fuel on ex-wharf and delivered bases in New York on November 1, 2016. These assessments will be published alongside all existing New York bunker fuel assessments. The decision follows an August 26 proposal note and a period of time for feedback.

The specifications reflected in the new assessments will conform to ISO 8217: 2010 specifications, category ISO-F, RMK 500.

The new assessments will sit within Platts' existing assessment parameters for bunker fuel across the Americas. The assessments will reflect the value of oil at 2:30 pm ET, for loading or delivery three to seven days forward and stem sizes of 1,000-4,000 mt.
