Platts proposes to remove trades at Beverly-Salem from Algonquin receipts index

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, proposes to remove Beverly-Salem trades from its Algonquin, receipts daily index, effective from trade date Nov. 30 and flow date Dec. 1.

Platts has observed that trades done at Beverly-Salem have transacted at a premium to other locations in the Algonquin, receipts index (IGBDK21 ex) since the beginning of 2023. The Beverly-Salem meter is at the far east end of the Algonquin pipeline, while the rest of the locations are on the western part of the pipe.

The new methodology would be as follows:

Algonquin, receipts (daily market only)

Deliveries into Algonquin Gas Transmission from Texas Eastern Transmission at the Lambertville and Hanover, New Jersey, interconnects; from Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line at the Centerville, New Jersey, interconnect; from Columbia Gas Transmission at the Hanover, New Jersey, and Ramapo, New York, interconnects; from Millennium Pipeline at Ramapo, New York; from Tennessee Gas Pipeline at the Mahwah, New Jersey, Cheshire, Connecticut, and Mendon, Massachusetts, interconnects; from Iroquois Gas Transmission System at the Brookfield, Connecticut, interconnect. Gas traded at the Maritimes & Northeast Pipeline at the Beverly, Massachusetts, interconnect are not included.
