Platts corrects 66 price assessments from its Sept. 27 backfill to reflect nutrient database

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has corrected 66 price assessments from its Sept. 27 backfill of its pricing database to reflect values published in Fertecon’s individual nutrient reports and databases.

The original backfill provided updates on a broad sweep of European Fertilizer assessments dating back to Jan. 1, 2015, including five symbols that appear in both European Fertilizer Report and various nutrient reports. The backfill data was collected from the European Fertilizer Report database as well as published reports, but conflicted on 66 instances with the data in nutrient reports and databases due to historical misalignment of methodology regarding timestamps.

This correction ensures the backfill in the Platts database consistently reflects values published in Fertecon’s individual nutrient reports and databases and is in line with current practice on aligned timestamps for both nutrient reports and the European Fertilizer Report.

The following symbols have been corrected:

The symbols have been updated in the Platts price database and on Platts Connect.

There is no change to values published on S&P Connect, which were already in line with those published in the individual nutrient reports.
