Platts launches a Daily Bitcoin Energy Consumption Index

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, launches the Daily Bitcoin Energy Consumption Index in MWh on Oct. 10, 2023.

The Daily Bitcoin Energy Consumption index represents the energy intensity to mine one Bitcoin in MWh a day.

The Daily Bitcoin Energy Consumption Index will be published on Platts Connect under Gas & Power Crypto Quarq Spreads, Megawatt Daily, and European Power Daily.
