Subscriber note: European PVC gross prices

Platts is committed to providing timely, objective and accurate price information. Platts assessments are based on the latest information collected or received from reliable sources active in the market. On October 3, 2012, Platts assessed its gross contract price for European PVC suspension grade at Eur970-975/mt FD NWE. The lower assessments reflected the most current and relevant October gross contract price formation that was reported by industry sources. Since March 12, 2012, Platts has been communicating to the European PVC industry its proposed two-fold change for January 2013. The first proposal was to re-base the existing European PVC suspension contract price if necessary, following an internal review and feedback from the market. The second proposal is to introduce PVC net contract values. Platts continues its consultation with the industry and welcomes all feedback. Platts will continue to monitor the pricing developments for October as feedback from several market sources showed full contract sttlement was still pending.
