Effective October 9, 2009, Platts is implementing a change to the incrementability and repeatability timing guidelines in those US editorial processes where eWindow is used.
Currently, Platts publishes bids/offers and subsequent price changes where the price increments are made with a frequency of no less than a minute.
As eWindow is adopted, efficiency improvements allow incremental price changes to be made more quickly.
In those markets where the bids/offers are submitted directly via eWindow, Platts will accept in its editorial processes price changes as rapidly as 30 seconds. As well, Platts will accept repeat bid/offer indications submitted no later than 30 seconds after the indication of trade in its US editorial processes where eWindow is used. Currently, Platts considers in its assessment processes repeat bids/offers submitted no later than one minute after the indication to trade.
For editorial processes where eWindow will not be used, prevailing standards requiring a one minute minimum between price changes and submission of repeat bids/offers will remain.
