Following a period of industry consultation and feedback, S&P Global Platts amended the current load and discharge rates in the weekly sugar freight assessments. These changes were effective October 4, 2018.
Platts changed the load/discharge rates on the Santos, Southeast Brazil, to Rizhao, North China, 50,000 mt route (Platts code: SYCAC00) from 8,000/3,000 mt/day to 10,000/7,000 mt/day.
Platts also changed the load/discharge rates on the Laem Chabang, Thailand, to Ciwandan, Indonesia, 25,000 mt route (Platts code: SYCCA00) from 3,000/3,000 mt/day to 6,000/6000 mt/day.
