Asia LNG Platts Market on Close incrementability changes for Oct. 7

For the Market on Close assessment process on Oct. 7, 2021, S&P Global Platts is changing the incrementability guidelines to allow bids and offers for Asia LNG physical to improve by up to 5 cents/MMBtu every 1 minute, as opposed to the usual 5 cents/MMBtu every 2 minutes.

The incrementability guidelines for Asia LNG derivatives will also change to allow for bids and offers to improve by up to 10 cents/MMBtu every 30 seconds, as opposed to the usual 5 cents/MMBtu every 1 minute.

These changes reflect the current volatility in the market due to price movements in the European gas market.

These changes apply to the Oct. 7 MOC process for the Platts JKM, WIM and MEM assessments.
