Platts proposes to launch daily US ethylbenzene assessments

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, is proposing to launch new daily US ethylbenzene assessments, effective Dec. 1.

Details of the proposed ethylbenzene assessments are as follows:

According to the latest issue of ASTM D-3193

Laycans:

M1, current month

M2, second month

Basis: DDP US Gulf Coast

Currency: US cents/gal

Quantity: 25,000 barrels by barge

M1 and M2 would be published on an outright basis, but Platts will consider pricing information expressed as either outright values or a premium to the NYMEX RBOB futures contract.

All market information reported to Platts may be considered, including firm bids and offers, trades and indicative values, as well as any other data deemed relevant to the assessment process up to the close of the Platts Market on Close assessment process at 1:30 pm CT.
