Platts proposes to launch European ethylbenzene assessments

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, is proposing to launch new daily European ethylbenzene assessments, effective Dec. 1.

Details of the proposed ethylbenzene assessments are as follows:

According to the latest issue of ASTM D-3193

Laycans: Five to 30 days forward loading

M1, current month,

M2, second month

Basis: FOB ARA

Currency: $/mt

Quantity: 1,000 mt

The value for M1 and M2 can be assessed on an outright basis or at a premium to the benzene CIF ARA assessments.
