Platts to launch three new EMEA dirty freight demurrage assessments

Following market feedback, S&P Global Platts will launch three new dirty tanker freight demurrage assessments, effective Nov 2, 2020.

The Cross-UK Continent assessment will reflect daily demurrage for 80,000 mt crude oil cargoes, loading 7-25 days forward from the date of publication. The rate will be based on the basket for the cross-UK Continent Aframax assessment.

The Cross-Mediterranean assessment will reflect daily demurrage for 80,000 mt crude oil cargoes, loading 7-25 days forward from the date of publication. The rate will be based on the basket for the cross-Mediterranean Aframax assessment.

The West Africa-to-UK Continent assessment will reflect daily demurrage for 130,000 mt crude oil cargoes, loading 10-30 days forward from the date of publication. The rate will be based on the basket for the cross-Mediterranean Aframax assessment.

All three assessments will be published on a US thousand dollar per day basis.

The new assessments will appear on fixed pages SHP1452 and PGT1962. The Turkish Straits demurrage assessments 80kt (AAPEE00) and 135kt (AAPED00) that appear on fixed pages PGT1960, PGT0918, and SHP1430, will appear on SHP1452 and PGT1962, effective Nov 2. The new fixed pages will be added to the fixed pages index for Dirty Tanker Assessments SHP 400 and PGT 1900.
