Platts invites feedback and written comments on its proposal to refine its assessment process for Northwest European T1 and T2 fuel grade ethanol.
Platts proposes to limit bids and offers during the Market-On-Close assessment process to only reflect products delivered 3-15 days forward (Monday-Tuesday) and 5-15 days forward (Wednesday-Friday) from the date of publication.
Within these date ranges, participants can submit bids and offers for front-end, mid-window and back-end dates.
In line with this proposal, Platts would no longer consider bids and offers in the MOC window for barges loading for the balance of the current month or full next month.
Following feedback to date, Platts is considering an implementation date of January 3, 2012.
Platts expects to confirm the changes and a specific implementation date in October, following a review of all comments.
Please send your feedback and questions by October 18 to petchems@platts.com with copy to pricegroup@platts.com.
