Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will change the cargo size for its FOB CVB corn assessment and FOB CVB wheat assessments from 25,000 mt to 30,000 mt, effective Nov. 1 2024.
Platts understands that most of the wheat and corn traded from the ports of Constanta, Varna and Burgas is now shipped in 30,000 mt cargoes.
Platts previously proposed this change on Sept. 5 in a subscriber note available here
This change will affect the following assessments:
Wheat FOB CVB basis Constanta (12.5%) (ACVBA00)
Wheat FOB CVB basis Constanta (11.5%) (ACVBB00)
Corn FOB CVB basis Constanta (ACVBC00)
Platts will also rename these assessments as outlined in a separate subscriber note published on Sept.16 Platts to rename FOB CVB wheat and corn assessments | S&P Global Commodity Insights (spglobal.com)
