S&P Global Platts has decided to change the frequency of its N. Europe EXW and CIF Antwerp steel plate price assessments (for grade S235, diameter 15-40 mm) to weekly from daily, with publication on Fridays.
Platts will implement this change from November 1, 2016, with the first weekly assessment on November 4.
The frequency change comes on the back of information received from sources that showed the market mainly uses medium and long-term contracts and that price indications rarely change more frequently than weekly.
Comments or questions about this change can be sent to: Christopher Davis, chris.davis@spglobal.com; Laura Varriale, laura.varriale@spglobal.com, and pricemethodology@platts.com.
For written comments, please provide a clear indication if comments are not intended for publication by Platts for public viewing.
Platts will consider all comments received and will make comments not marked as confidential available upon request.
