S&P Global Platts will start publishing daily delivered bunker fuel prices at their LNG equivalent units of $/MMBtu in Singapore and in Eur/MWh in Rotterdam from December 2, 2019.
These prices, which will be converted from Platts' existing price assessments of Marine Fuel 0.5% and 380 CST bunker at Singapore and Rotterdam, and low sulfur 0.1% delivered bunker prices at Rotterdam, are to provide a comparison for LNG used as a marine fuel at these two major bunkering hubs.
In Singapore, Marine Fuel 0.5% delivered bunker fuel assessments (price database code MFSPD00) will be converted to $/MMBtu using a conversion factor of 38.643. The daily 3.5% sulfur 380 CST delivered bunker fuel assessments (PUAFT00) will be converted to $/MMBtu using a conversion factor of 37.742. These bunker fuel assessments are published at the 5:30 pm Singapore close.
In Rotterdam, both Marine Fuel 0.5% (MFRDD00) and low sulfur 0.1% (AARBF00) delivered bunker fuel assessments will be converted to Eur/MWh using a conversion factor of 11.322 and daily Euro to US dollar exchange rate (AACOP00) published by Platts. The 3.5% sulfur 380 CST delivered bunker fuel assessments (PUAFN00) will be converted to Eur/MWh using a conversion factor of 11.058 and the same currency exchange rate. These bunker fuel assessments are published at the 4:30 pm London close.
