Following the discontinuation of the freight assessment for Southeast Brazil (Santos) to Russia (Novorossiysk) for 20 kt vessels (code SYCAD00) effective October 3, 2017, S&P Global Platts has updated its methodology for the raw sugar delivered CNF Antwerp assessment to a standardized freight value of $28.96/mt, based on the average of the last five years of Platts assessments.
Furthermore, Platts has established a Black Sea to Antwerp freight calculation at $3/mt, a Center-South Brazil containers to Europe freight calculation at $34/mt and finally, a Continental Europe to Antwerp freight rate at $30/mt.
The existing calculation has now been updated to use the previous day's assessments for Brazil's VHP CS raw sugar premium and the ICE gasoil contract as of 16:30 London time.
