SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts proposes discontinuation of Swiss power assessments

S&P Global Platts is seeking feedback on a proposal to discontinue its day-ahead power assessment series for Switzerland, as well as the German Platts Power Index (PPI) and PEP and CONTI indices at the start of 2017.

The assessments being considered for discontinuation are listed below and are published in Platts European Power Daily and in Market Data category EE.

The Swiss assessments are also published on European Power Alert pages 56 and 57.

Associated monthly average symbols would also be discontinued under this proposal and Platts Mid Switzerland would no longer be published in the Platts European Assessments table in European Power Daily.

In light of this proposal, Platts is also reviewing publication of its European Power Indices, which are published in European Power Daily, on European Power Alert page 9 and in Market Data category EE.

In addition, Platts is proposing the discontinuation of its German Platts Power Index (PPI), which is published in European Power Daily, on European Power Alert pages 780 and 782, and in Market Data category EE. The PPI is derived from Platts' German power assessments, which remain unchanged under this proposal.
