Platts proposes to launch a number of new dry bulk Panamax freight assessments, reflecting established trade routes of coal, grain and iron ore from east coast Canada, US east coast, US Gulf coast, Brazil and the Black Sea. These new assessments would reflect strong market interest in these routes and will be based on modern Panamax dry bulk tonnage. Platts proposes to launch the assessments with effect from December 1, 2014. Each assessment would be published on a dollar per metric ton basis.
