SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts changes cargo sizes on two dry bulk scrap routes to Turkey

S&P Global Platts has amended the cargo size on two dry bulk Supramax steel scrap freight assessments, from New Jersey to Aliaga, Turkey and from Rotterdam to Aliaga, from 45,000 mt to 40,000 mt (plus/minus 10%). This change is effective as of October 2, 2017.

Platts will normalize any other cargo size on these routes to a 40,000 mt basis.

Platts proposed this change in a note published July 13, 2017 (https://www.platts.com/subscriber-notes-details/26772796).

This change is a reflection of a more frequent flow of 40,000 mt than 45,000 mt Supramax steel scrap cargoes loaded out of New Jersey and Rotterdam, to Aliaga.

The assessments appear in Dry Freight Wire and the fixed page PMA-3912 under codes MSJAT00 and MSNAT00, respectively.
