Following industry feedback, Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has launched a daily spot assessment for recycled polyethylene terephthalate (R-PET) premium grade pellets on an ex-works India basis effective Oct. 1.
Platts has observed growing interest in and development of the domestic Indian market, following the minimum content legislation mandate and food grade regulatory guidelines, the wide adoption of this grade of R-PET and greater demand for pricing transparency in the region.
The daily assessment is based on the latest information from the market up to the close of the assessment process at 4:30 pm Singapore time.
The assessment is published in Indian Rupees/kg and will follow the Indian publishing schedule.
