Platts to launch daily R-PET premium grade pellets ex-works India assessment, Oct 1, 2025

Following industry feedback, Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will launch a daily spot assessment for recycled polyethylene terephthalate, or R-PET, premium grade pellets on an ex-works India basis effective Oct. 1, 2025.

Platts has observed growing interest in the development of the domestic Indian market, following the minimum content legislation mandate and food grade regulatory guidelines, the wide adoption of this grade of R- PET and greater demand for pricing transparency in the region.

The daily assessment will be based on the latest information from the market up to the close of the assessment process at 4:30 pm Singapore time.

The assessment will be in Indian Rupees/kg and will follow the Indian publishing schedule.

The assessment would reflect product with the following parameters:

Pricing information for material with other specifications and terms may be normalized to the above standard.
