Platts begins publishing Kuwait's Khafji crude OSP from October 2020

S&P Global Platts has started publishing the official selling price set by Kuwait Petroleum Corp. for its Khafji crude oil grade from Oct. 1, 2020.

The new OSP and differential are published alongside existing ones for KPC's Kuwait Super Light crude and Kuwait Export crude grades on PGA1060.

KPC announces the Khafji OSP one month prior to cargo loading as a differential to Platts Dubai/DME Oman. KPC resumed publication of the OSP differential for Khafji crude in May 2020.

The offshore Khafji field is jointly owned by Saudi Arabia's Aramco Gulf Operations Co. and Kuwait Gulf Oil Co., a unit of state-run Kuwait Petroleum Corp.

According to publicly available assays, Khafji crude has a gravity of 28.5 API and 2.85% sulfur content.
