As announced in September, Platts will launch an assessment for the value of ICE Brent NX futures with effect from October 1, 2012. The assessments will reflect the prevailing value of the contracts at precisely 4:30 pm in London. From October 1 to October 5 (inclusive) Platts will publish ICE Brent NX futures assessments for contracts December 2012 to February 2013. With effect from October 6 Platts will publish assessments for the front four contracts listed on ICE Futures. At the same time, Platts will extend its current assessments of the legacy ICE Brent futures contracts to include the fourth front month contract listed on ICE Futures. Platts currently publishes ICE Brent futures assessments reflecting prevailing values at 4:30pm London time for the front three month contracts listed on ICE. Platts assessments of ICE Brent NX futures at 4:30 pm London time will appear on Platts Global Alert page 703, as well as in the European Marketscan and the Crude Oil Marketwire. ICE settlement values for the Brent NX contract will appear on Platts Global Alert page 704, Oilgram Price Report, US Marketscan and the Crude Oil Marketwire.
