S&P Global Platts is proposing to discontinue its OCTG FOB China steel assessments with effect from Dec. 31, 2021.
The proposal arises from changes to market conditions, which have led to a decline in the volume of Chinese exports of OCTG casing.
The assessment is published monthly in dollars per metric ton under the symbol AAXNI00 and in dollars per foot under AAXNK00.
They appear in Platts Steel Alert on page 0891, SBB Daily Briefing, Platts Price Analyzer and Platts Market Data category SQ.
Please send any feedback, comments or questions to pl_asia_steel@spglobal.com and pricegroup@platts.com by Oct. 22.
For written comments, please provide a clear indication if comments are not intended for publication by Platts for public viewing.
Platts will consider all comments received and will make comments not marked as confidential available upon request.
