Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, proposes to launch tri-ethylene glycol T2 assessments for Europe, effective Dec. 1, 2023.
The new TEG assessment would complement existing ethylene glycol coverage.
The new assessment would be published in Eur/mt on a weekly basis on Friday or the last working day of the week at 16:30pm London time and reflect the following specifications:
The TEG assessments would reflect an open tri-ethylene specification material with a minimum 99.5% purity and a typical density of 1.122-1.127 g/cm3 or g/ml.
Basis and location: FCA ARA (Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp) basis Antwerp.
Cargo size: 25-100 mt Mode of transport: Trucks Loading: 3-to 30-days forward.
Other locations within Northwest Europe may be considered for the assessment and may be normalized to reflect loadings basis ARA.
A weekly commentary and rationale would be published on a Friday within the existing weekly glycols commentary and rationale.
Platts TEG assessments would be published on Petrochemical Alert on page PCA236 in Olefinscan, Platts Platform, Platts Market Center and in Platts price database.
