S&P Global Platts proposes to change the volume for all domestic Brazil polyethylene prices -- HDPE blowmolding, HDPE injection, HDPE film, LLDPE butene and LDPE -- to reflect a 100-500 mt/month buyer, factoring local taxes (PIS & COFINS) of 9.25%-11.75% in the assessment.
Previously, Platts considered 500-1,500 mt/month buyers in its assessment methodology.
Platts is seeking feedback until October 10 and plans to implement the proposed changes on November 7.
