Platts proposes to add two new monthly natural gas locations

S&P Global Platts has observed that the southern portion of the Northwest, Rocky Mountain Pool trades at a discounted price to the northern portion in the monthly market. In response to the price divergence, Platts proposes to add two new monthly natural gas locations, Northwest, S. of Green River and Northwest, Wyoming Pool. The effective implementation date is Nov. 24, the first day of December bidweek.

The proposed monthly locations already exist in the daily market and would to be added into the methodology as daily and monthly locations.

Proposed Methodology for Northwest, S. of Green River Monthly: Deliveries into Northwest Pipeline from the Green River, WY compressor station south to the La Plata interconnection with El Paso Natural Gas in the San Juan Basin in La Plata County, CO. Included are deliveries from Clay Basin storage, the Piceance Basin and the Ignacio plant.

Proposed Methodology for Northwest, Wyoming Pool Monthly: Deliveries into Northwest Pipeline from the Green River, WY compressor station to the Kemmerer, WY station. Included are deliveries at the Opal, WY plant as well as at the Painter, Anschutz, Muddy Creek, Granger, Shute Creek and Whitney stations.

The proposal would affect the indices published on NG1315, NG1323, NG1431 and NG1426-NG1428, as well as the indices in the Inside FERC publication.

The assessments are databased under the following codes: JPTYS03 and JQTYS03.
