SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts discontinues eight EMEA steel assessments

Please note that S&P Global Platts discontinued eight of its EMEA steel assessments on September 3, 2018, as a result of changes in product flows and production. The last assessment day was August 31, 2018. This followed a period of market consultation beginning June 7.

The discontinued assessments and their symbols are as follows: CFR Middle East Rebar SB01201 CFR HDG Middle East SB01122 CIF Medium Sections S. Europe SB01161 DDP Europe Wire Rod Mesh Quality SB01246 CIF S. Europe Wire Rod Mesh Quality SB01247 DDP Welded Tube Europe SB01258 DDP N. Europe Engineering Steel SB01102 CIF HDG S. Europe SB01121

Platts discontinued these assessments because of changing market dynamics and a lack of spot trading activity in the above markets.
