Update to price table formats in APAGScan

Platts plans to update the formats and labels in price tables published in Platts Asia Pacific/Arab Gulf Marketscan with effect from October 23, 2009.

The redesigned price tables will separate and clarify the location of various assessments.

Additionally, the revamped publication will also ensure that tables are labeled the same way in the publication, whether readers receive it in PDF format or text format (also known by some subscribers as "telex format").

This change means that many assessment labels will be updated for readers who receive the publication in text format, to match up to the way that those products are described in the existing PDF version of the publication.

Among the changes that will be introduced, Platts' assessments for the Middle East, Japan and Indonesia will all appear in separate tables.

Demurrage assessments will also appear in their own table.

A draft of the new layout will be published in advance of the change, on www.platts.com.

A link to the new layout will be posted as soon as it is available for review.
