SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts clarifies inclusion of atypical butane MOC positions

S&P Global Platts wishes to clarify that atypical bids and offers in the butane market may not be fully taken into consideration for the assessment process.

This includes indications that price against forward values for which associated derivatives do not have a sufficient amount of observable activity.

Market information with atypical pricing inherently differs in value from the typical and commonly observable information in the market. In the absence of an associated, liquid derivative instrument atypical pricing bases may be difficult or impossible to evaluate on an outright price equivalent.
