Platts to hold Singapore Coking Coal Roundtable on Oct 6

The coking coal market has had to tackle a series of challenges over the last year including supply disruptions, changes in purchasing patterns and most recently the Russia/Ukraine conflict. This has impacted the availability of material in the spot market. At the same time, Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has observed a desire among market participants for increased transparency in market reporting and an interest in developing shared standards and best practices on data submission for the purposes of coking coal price reporting.

We are pleased to invite the coking coal community in Singapore for a discussion on coking coal indexation and to learn more about Platts reporting standards, quality of data inputs, and the hierarchy of data in the market-on-close assessment process.

The roundtable will be held in person at S&P Global Commodity Insights Office (Level 23 Marina Bay Financial Center Tower 3, Singapore 018982) on Thursday, Oct. 6 between 9:30 am and 12 noon GMT+8.

Please mark the date. A follow up subscriber note with a registration link will be published shortly.
