Platts has launched monthly average prices for Uranium U3O8

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has launched a cumulative monthly average uranium U3O8 price and an average price for the previous month effective Sept. 21, 2023.

In addition to the existing spot assessments for Canada delivery, the cumulative monthly average price is the arithmetic mean of daily current month U3O8 prices (AFUEM01) for the calendar month to date and is being published daily (AFUEC03).

The monthly average price is the mean of the daily current month price assessed by Platts every business day of the prior month (AFUED03). The prices follow the US holiday calendar, with details to be found in the Platts holiday calendar.

The new average monthly prices are published alongside the existing Canada price and the locational differentials on Platts Dimensions Pro, on Platts real-time fixed pages PEA0308 and PEP0308, and in the Nuclear Fuel report and the Nuclear Fuel Uranium Pricing Supplement.
