SUBSCRIBER NOTE: S&P Global Platts amends load, discharge rates for sugar freight rates

Following a period of industry consultation and feedback, S&P Global Platts has decided to amend the current load and discharge rates considered in the weekly sugar freight assessments. These changes will be effective from October 4, 2018.

Platts will change the load/discharge rates on the Santos, Southeast Brazil, to Rizhao, North China, 50KT route (Platts code: SYCAC00) from 8,000/3,000 mt/day to 10,000/7,000 mt/day.

Platts will also change the load/discharge rates on the Laem Chabang, Thailand, to Ciwandan, Indonesia, 25KT route (Platts code: SYCCA00) from 3,000/3,000 mt/day to 6,000/6000 mt/day.
