After a period of industry feedback, Platts will lower the metals content for its US Gulf Coast 3% sulfur fuel oil physical assessment basis to 100 ppm maximum aluminum and silicon content beginning January 3, 2011.
Currently, USGC 3% sulfur fuel oil assessments reflect product with 130 ppm maximum aluminum and silicon content.
