After a period of industry feedback, Platts has decided to lower the metals content for its US Atlantic Coast 1% sulfur fuel oil physical assessment basis to 120 ppm maximum aluminum and silicon beginning January 3, 2011.
Currently USAC 1% sulfur fuel oil assessments reflect product with 150 ppm maximum aluminum and silicon content.
