Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will change the way in which European molten phthalic anhydride spot prices are assessed, effective Oct. 31, 2024.
Platts will remove the existing fixed premium of Eur250 per metric ton over the PA flake FD NWE spot assessment.
The change takes into consideration market feedback that the relationship between the molten and the flake markets is more dynamic and does not follow a fixed unchanged variable.
The affected assessment is databased under the following code:
