SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts proposes to remove brand specifications in Steel Markets Daily

S&P Global Platts is proposing to remove brand specifications in the Asia Pacific Metallurgical Coal Relativities CFR China table found on page 9 of the Steel Markets Daily publication. The proposal aims to help Platts respond quickly to changes in typical specifications of metallurgical coal brands.

Platts' assumption of typical specifications will remain available to market participants upon request. Platts would continue to publish assessments for each brand relativity, and their relative spread to the Platts Premium Low Vol and HCC 64 Mid Vol assessments.

Platts proposes for this change to take place on November 1, 2018.
