Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will rename its FOB CVB basis Constanta corn assessment and FOB CVB basis Constanta wheat assessments effective Oct. 14, 2024.
Platts previously proposed this change on Sept. 2 in a subscriber note available here.
To provide greater clarity on basis location, the assessments will be renamed as follows:
Wheat FOB CVB basis Constanta (12.5%) to Wheat FOB CVB (12.5%), ACVBA00
Wheat FOB CVB basis Constanta (11.5%) to Wheat FOB CVB (11.5%), ACVBB00
Corn FOB CVB basis Constanta to Corn FOB CVB, ACVBC00
Platts understands that market participants do not differentiate between the three individual ports (Constanta, Varna, Burgas) when transacting handysize ships on a FOB CVB basis.
