September 16, 2024
Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, proposes to change the timestamp of its weekly Asia ammonia assessments and its low-carbon Japan Korea Ammonia Price (JKAP), effective Nov. 1, 2024.
Under the proposed changes, the assessments will move from their current 16:30 London (1630 GMT) timestamp to a 16:30 Penang (0830 GMT) timestamp and will follow the Penang publishing calendar.
The changes will align Platts weekly ammonia assessments and JKAP more closely with local trading hours in Asia.
The change will not affect daily and weekly FOB Middle East ammonia assessments or the weekly CFR India ammonia assessment, which will continue to be assessed on the 16:30 London, UK, timestamp and publishing calendar.
The affected assessments are as follows:
CFR Far East $/mt (FAFAA04)
CFR Far East $/mt MAvg (FAFAM03)
FOB Southeast Asia $/mt (FAAAB04)
FOB Southeast Asia $/mt MAvg (FAAAB03)
Japan Korea Ammonia Price (JKAP) $/mt (AJKCA00)
Japan Korea Ammonia Price (JKAP) $/MMBtu (AJKCB00)
The above assessments appear in the Ammonia Market Report, Platts Fertecon Daily and on Platts Connect.
