SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts amends cargo size for FOB Singapore MTBE assessment

After launching a proposal in July and soliciting market feedback, Platts confirms that it has amended the cargo size used for the Asian MTBE assessments to 2,000 mt, effective September 4, 2015.

Platts previously assessed daily FOB Singapore MTBE based on a cargo size of 2,000-3,000 mt.

Platts will continue to accept and report bids, offers and other market information for different sizes of cargoes reported by the market. For assessment purposes, such cargoes may be normalized to reflect the value for a 2,000-mt parcel.
