Following a review of recognized additives in the FOB Singapore gasoil assessment process, S&P Global Platts has begun reflecting two new lubricity improver additives from Infineum with effect from Sept. 15, 2021.
The new additives are:
Additive Name Additive Type
R640 Lubricity improver
R640D Lubricity improver
Platts first proposed the addition of the new gasoil additives in a subscriber note published Dec. 7, 2020: http://plts.co/pSNZ30rQMir
Platts has added the additives to the list of recognized additives reflected in its assessment process. The list of recognized additives is intended to provide clarity to market participants regarding which additives are generally considered to be merchantable and accepted for cargoes delivered through the Platts Market on Close assessment process in Singapore.
Platts does not align its FOB Singapore additives acceptance to any particular importing country.
For the full list of previously recognized additives, please see http://plts.co/V0Ax30ru2Yi. The list of identified additives is not exhaustive and Platts continuously reviews the list.
