SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts to discontinue FOB Large Cargo Propane, Butane assessments

Following an extensive review with market participants, Platts will discontinue its FOB Large Cargo Propane and Butane assessments, and associated freight rates, in Northwest Europe. These assessments will no longer be published from December 1, 2016.

This announcement follows a proposal subscriber note published on May 27, 2016.

The decision to discontinue these assessments follows a lack of observable spot liquidity in these markets as market participants typically focus on CIF supplies. Associated freight routes from Norway to the Netherlands for both butane and propane will also be discontinued as they no longer reflect current spot freight routes.
