SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts modifies monthly natural gas national average calculation

Platts is modifying the monthly bidweek natural gas national average to include all North American points, except TCPL Alberta, AECO-C and Westcoast Station 2. Previously, the national average calculation was an average of only the producing regions and delivered-to-pipeline points. This modification puts the monthly national average calculation in line with the calculation used for the daily national average. The changes will take effect beginning with the October 2015 monthly survey. The national average appears in Inside FERC's Gas Market Report, Energy Trader, Gas Daily Price Guide and Natural Gas Alert page 439.
