Platts to introduce new US benzene assessments

Following a period of industry feedback, Platts has decided to launch DDP US Gulf Coast assessments for US benzene on October 17, 2011.

Platts proposes to assess on a 10,000 barrel DDP USG basis for the current month (M1) and forward month (M2), and these two assessments will run concurrently to the existing FOB USG benzene assessments. The assessment will be added to pages PCA 208, PCA 61 and PC 321 and would be published on Platts realtime Petrochemical Alert as well as the Platts Europe and US Petrochemical scan.
