Following subscriber queries, Platts clarifies that the barrels to metric tonne conversion rate assumed as typical for Low Sulfur Waxy Residue FOB Indonesia is 6.8.
Platts assesses LSWR cargoes loading FOB Indonesia with API gravity in a range of 20.5-29.5.
Recent quality tests show cargoes of mixed/crack LSWR loading FOB Indonesia with an API of 21.4, which derives a barrels/mt conversion factor of 6.8.
This conversion factor can be applied to derive the per mt value of Platts assessments, which are published on a per barrel basis on real-time service Platts Global Alert under the code symbols PPAPU00 and AAHXR00.
