In response to changing market conditions, Platts proposes to discontinue its FOB Korea and FOB Okinawa 1.5% 180 CST fuel oil assessments, as well as FOB Okinawa 3.5% 180 CST fuel oil assessments. These would be discontinued from April 1, 2014. Platts has been assessing these grades in these locations since 1998. Since that time trade flows have evolved and those grades are no longer typically sold from those locations. These assessments are currently published on Platts Global Alert, Platts Asia Pacific Arab Gulf Marketscan and in the Platts price assessment database. Please send any comments and questions by October 31, 2013 to asia_products@platts.com and pricegroup@platts.com. For written comments, please provide a clear indication if comments are not intended for publication by Platts for public viewing. Platts will consider all comments received, and will make comments not marked as confidential available upon request.
