Based on market feedback, S&P Global Platts will transition the following daily natural gas ICE locations to Platts locations, beginning flow date November 1:
1.ICE Iroquois, zone 1 (delivered excl. Waddington) with trade date symbol JAABS00.
2. ICE Tennessee, zone 5, 200 Line, delivered downstream of station 245 with trade date symbol of JAAEV00.
These ICE locations and associated symbols will be discontinued and the following new Platts locations will be created beginning flow date November 1:
1.Iroquois, zone 1 (delivered excl. Waddington) with trade date symbol IGBRP00. The location will include trades on the ICE Exchange at Iroquois, zone 1 (delivered excl. Waddington) and will be defined as follows: Deliveries from Iroquois Pipeline starting at, but not including Waddington, New York, and extending to and including Iroquois interconnection with the Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company at Wright, New York.
2.Tennessee, zone 5- 200 leg with trade date symbol IGBRQ00. The location will include trades on the ICE Exchange at Tennessee, zone 5, 200 Line, delivered downstream of station 245 and will be defined as follows: Deliveries from Tennessee Gas Pipeline Zone 5, downstream of compressor station 245 extending to and including station 254.
The methodology for these locations will change. Currently only trades executed on ICE are used in final daily indexes, the trades are not screened for outliers, and there are no assessments in absence of trading on ICE and no index would be published. As Platts locations, price reporter trades and ICE non-price reporter legs of trades will be included in final daily indexes, the trades will be screened for outliers, and there may be assessments in the absence of reported trading activity. In addition, Platts will clearly define the locations in the North American natural gas methodology guide.
The changes are being made in the daily market only. Existing monthly gas location names and symbols will not change.
