US Gulf Coast gasoline assessment changes

Effective October 1, Platts is proposing two changes to its current CBOB gasoline blend stock assessments for the US Gulf Coast.

The first proposed change is to introduce CBOB 87 and premium CBOB 93 assessments that mirror the Colonial Pipeline's A-grade and D-grade specifications.

The sulfur content for these two grades is 80 ppm max, and beginning October 1, these new assessments will reflect 11.5 RVP seasonal levels.

On the same day, Platts would re-name its current 30 ppm max CBOB assessments in the USGC. These grades would be called "Atl 87 CBOB" and "Atl 93 CBOB," after the market they were originally created to serve. Currently, these are labeled "CBOB 87" and "CBOB 93."

The new assessments and revised code descriptions would be published in Dispatch, Platts Global Alert page 19, US Marketscan, and Oilgram Price Report.
