Effective October 9, 2009, Platts is implementing a change to the timing guidelines in its US oil assessment processes.
With the introduction of eWindow in the US Gulf Coast gasoline market on that date, Platts is aligning the timing between its editorial processes where eWindow is used and those where it is not as follows: cargo positions must be submitted prior to 2:30:01 Eastern Time, barge/pipeline positions must be submitted prior to 2:45:01 Eastern Time (ET), and price changes will be accepted prior to 3:13:01 Eastern Time.
The change in the timing guidelines is precipitated by the timing logistics in eWindow, creating a need for harmonization between editorial processes where eWindow is used and those where it is not.
